Environment and climate

As a manufacturing company, we recognise our environmental footprint and actively work to reduce it. Across our facilities, we have conducted comprehensive energy mapping to identify improvement opportunities and implemented targeted energy efficiency measures in both production and office environments. Our production sites and owned office facilities operate on 100% renewable electricity.

We are actively reducing emissions from business travel and logistics. This includes the use of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) to lower the carbon impact of necessary air travel and a continued transition toward more sustainable fuel alternatives within our transport flows.

Looking ahead, we remain focused on further optimising energy consumption in our facilities and production processes, while working toward a full transition to sustainable fuels in transportation.

Circularity and responsible production

Durability, performance and lifecycle thinking are fundamental to Berg Propulsion engineering.

Our systems are designed for long service life, reducing the need for premature replacement. Through refurbishment, upgrades and spare parts optimisation, we extend product lifetime and improve resource efficiency.

We increase the use of recycled materials where technically feasible and continuously evaluate sourcing strategies to reduce transport distances and environmental impact. Furthermore, we apply circular economy principles by minimising resource consumption, improving process efficiency, managing waste responsibly, and prioritising recycling and proper disposal practices.

We respect internationally recognised human rights across our own operations and throughout our supply chain. Due diligence processes, supplier evaluations and on-site visits are key tools in managing risks related to labour rights, environmental impact and ethical conduct. Our comprehensive Supplier Code of Conduct covers human rights, labour conditions, environmental performance and ethical business conduct, and forms the basis for our supplier partnerships.

We are committed to sustainable sourcing by partnering with suppliers who uphold fair labour standards, fair pay, transparency and traceability throughout the supply chain. We maintain zero tolerance for forced labour, child labour and inadequate health, safety and environmental standards within our supply chain.

We strive to always continue to strengthen our value chain oversight to ensure alignment with international standards and stakeholder expectations.

As a part of our due diligence work, all our partner across our supply chain, are evaluated and screened and strict internal procedures govern sales representatives and intermediaries.
