Berg Propulsion’s comprehensive shaftline approach involves assuming full responsibility for the entire propulsion line as a unified system, from the propeller through to the propulsion power source. Propeller blades are designed using advanced multi-objective optimization, tailored to the specific mission profile of each project. This process can prioritize goals such as maximizing efficiency or vessel speed, minimizing underwater radiated noise, increasing cavitation inception speed, and reducing low-harmonic pressure fluctuations.
CFD and rotordynamics analysis, model testing and project-specific calculations ensures optimized integration of propeller and carefully selected shaft components, as well as strut design.
