Based in Dubai and established in 2003, BPME has grown from a four-person team into a 16-member powerhouse serving the Middle East, Africa, and India. Their mission: to uphold Berg’s standards of excellence in sales, product support, and service responsiveness—24/7, across multiple time zones. What’s unique about serving customers in the Middle East?
Serving customers in this region is as much about human connection as it is about technical performance. Success begins with respecting tradition and hierarchy—titles matter, and decisions often flow from the top down. Building trust through personal rapport is critical, and long-term partnerships are preferred over quick wins.
High service expectations are the norm. Customers demand rapid, consistent communication and expect real-time support. We, BPME, meet this demand head-on by being ever-present and proactive—laying the foundation for lasting loyalty and dependable collaboration.
What does a day at the Dubai office look like?
“Fast-paced” doesn’t quite cover it. From the moment the day starts, we are deep into rapid decision-making, high involvement, and constant communication. Multitasking is the rhythm of the office. Leaders and engineers alike juggle multiple projects—negotiating contracts, resolving customer issues, coordinating international logistics, or planning for exhibitions.
It’s this energetic and engaged culture that fuels out agility. Everyone is expected to contribute. Everyone is empowered to act.
How does the Dubai team collaborate with HQ and other offices?
Distance doesn’t dilute unity. We keep a daily dialogue with HQ and other global offices, reinforcing accountability and operational alignment. Whether it’s arranging shipments, managing service responses, or planning joint events, this cross-border coordination ensures customers experience Berg as one unified brand, no matter the location.
What project or partnership are you most proud of?
In 2023, we made a celebrated return to the Seatrade Exhibition after a 14-year hiatus—a move that wasn’t just symbolic, but strategic. The event signaled Berg’s renewed commitment to industry visibility, innovation, and global partnerships. It placed the Dubai office—and Berg’s ambitions—firmly on the global maritime map once again
We also recently supported the delivery of nine thrusters to RVOS, completing retrofits on Rawabi 2 and 8 and preparing for additional installations on Rawabi 1. These achievements our team’s technical expertise, precise coordination, and relentless pursuit of customer success.
How does Berg stand out in the regional marine market?

How do you maintain team culture across borders?
With a team spread across Middle East, Africa, and India, cultural inclusivity is a daily practice. At BPME, we celebrate national holidays across cultures, share stories and traditions, and use food as a fun and meaningful connector. Whether it’s a virtual Diwali or Christmas gathering or sharing Indian recipes at lunch, these shared moments help transform a diverse workforce into one cohesive team.
